
5/5 is a group of five professional Finnish folk musicians strongly connected to South Ostrobothnia, a region in western Finland.
The music the band composes and plays is a unique blend of Southern Ostrobothnian traditional folk music, Old-Time and Americana. "South-Ostrobothicana" if you will.
The latest 5/5 full album Festarifiilis was released in September 2019.
The latest single to date Pikku-Lauri ja paholainen was released in 2024.

Vila plays new folk music inspired by traditional lullabies. Our music is like a warm embrace, inviting listeners to rest from the hustle and bustle of the world. We have listened carefully, rested in the soothing sound of traditional lullabies, and created new ones. Improvising and composing intertwines with free interpretation of folk melodies and lyrics found in archives.
Vila’s debut album was released in 2024 by the Finland-Swedish Folk Music Institute.

Kårot (Kånala-Rotterdam) is a duo founded in 2025 by Nea-Maria Korpelainen (Master of Music Codarts Rotterdam, Master of Music SibA Helsinki) and Joonas Ojajärvi (Master of Music SibA). The project was born from a shared need to create music that authentically reflects its members, free from stylistic preconceptions.
Both musicians have strong backgrounds in Nordic contemporary folk music and have also studied a variety of musical styles outside the Nordic countries. Drawing from these influences, they create rich, nuanced instrumental music rooted in and reshaping Nordic folk traditions—music that lives and breathes in the moment.

Jari Rättyä & Käärmekeitto is a "slavic-blues" quartet led by Jari Rättyä, a songwriter based in both Helsinki and Kainuu. The sound of the group is something between americana, delta blues, nordic folk and slavic folk. The latest release Kuulkaa kadonneet came out in the late summer 2025 and is purchasable from bandcamp.
